Fifty Years of the Orange Tree Theatre
An exhibition at the Museum of Richmond,
15th December 2021 – 10th September 2022
From a room above the Orange Tree Public House to an award-winning independent theatre, discover the extraordinary history of the Orange Tree Theatre as it celebrates it’s 50th anniversary. Hear from twenty inspirational people – writers, directors, actors, staff and more – with whom the Museum conducted oral history interviews, and listen to their stories from behind-the-scenes of London’s only permanent theatre in the round. A selection of objects on display in the exhibition tell the history of this critically-acclaimed theatre and its connection with Richmond’s rich theatrical past.
